About HumorPower

HumorPower is a humor blog that wants to spread funny across the world. Laughing is a healthy activity and we believe unfunny people are robbing us of this healthy activity.

Many people believe that people are born funny; that you either have it or you don’t. That isn’t entirely true. Some do have the gift of comedy bestowed upon them at birth, but most of us can develop this skill.

Whether it’s giving a speech, a presentation, doing improv, stand-up, or just in daily life, you can improve at making yourself and others laugh, increase your likeableness, and strengthen your face muscles. That is our promise.

Who We Are

We are a group of five comedians living in New York. While comedy is our passion, we excel at humor at our day jobs.

New York City is the hardest comedy scene to break into. It’s also one of the best. Trial by fire isn’t everyone’s taste, but it creates great comedians. New York is full of interesting people and loads of inspiration for jokes.

We created this blog because we want to expand the world of humor. The only time you laugh shouldn’t be when you sit on your couch and turn on the TV. It should be all the time. There are lots of funny people out there that want to use their skills to enhance whatever it is they do. This blog is to help them.

This blog will let us share our personal experiences as young comedians trying to make it, as well as give you valuable tips on how best to use your humor skills wherever you go in life.

Our Vision

We all have a list of funny people in our lives. Those are the people we want to be around the most. We listen to them and learn from them, but most importantly they make us laugh.

There should be more of those people in the world. Teachers, professors, waiters, firemen, policemen, and doctors, they should all be making us laugh our way through this crazy world. That outlook is what shaped our vision for this project.

Our Mission

Everyone should be funny because everyone needs to laugh. Stage fright, nerves, extreme sweating are all things that keep us from being free with ourselves and showing our true, funny personality to others. Let’s break down those walls and make humor more attainable. Every funny person doesn’t have to become a movie star. Making someone’s day, or even your own is good enough.

Humor is about happiness. More of us would do well to get better at spreading that around the world. Why wait for others? Start with yourself on our blog and you’re bound to get inspired for years to come.
